Area and Dive Site Comments:

Blue hole, a small hump at 18 ft of depth surrounded by deep water, three miles uplake. The hole has heavy weedbeds and brushpiles. large schools of blue catfish are present in warmer weather, with crappie, bass, and bream present all year. The weeds were laying flat on the bottom due to winter temperatures. The purpose of my dive was to add to my brushpiles. I have been diving Degray for 29 years, and I still find it interesting. I would welcome e-mail from other divers.

Area and Dive Site Comments:

Dove area next to spillway, water temp. and vis. dropped sharply at 60 ft. No much to see except turtles. Caddo Bend area has a great wall with lots of fish to see, but the area is closed due to construction work. Don't recommend the Hwy 7 park area because of a lot of boat traffic, beach swimmers and lots of grass. Not much to see.
