2001 Event Results:
The First Annual Dive For The heart was held at Clear Springs
Scuba Park to benefit Cook Children's Medical Center on 08-September-2001.
The Treasure Hunt and Auction raised approximately $5000.00 with a total of 37
divers participating in the treasure hunt, 7 more that dove in the area before and
after the treasure hunt and 15 non-divers.
Participants included The diving Rebels, Terrell Dive Club,
Scubadillo Dive Club, Swamp Divers and fatboyscuba to name a few.
This event lasted well into the evening with the band entertaining and glow in
the dark Frisbee throwing.
Johnatnan and Stacey Franks of scubadivetexas.com did an excellent job
coordinating this event and I am looking forward to next years Dive For The
Heart.
Scuba Adventurer will post next years event on 2002 calendar and event
