Great weekend of diving, many students at the first road which reduced vis to 15ft at best. At the 4 doors vis was much better with temp at depth at 58. Diving the wall at the North end was fantastic as no one else was diving it this weekend 25-30 ft vis. Descended shaft #1, out to the wall and proceeded to the Blue Room, off gassing on the way back. Saw many small fish on the first road to the plane, none after that.

The water visibility was excellent, even the very few places that were murky there was still 10 to 15 feet visibility. The pool building is completed and the area is looking nice. Oronogo is a fun place to dive with huge underwater ledges, and sunken things for divers to explore.

Temp at depth was 46 (90 ft)....3 of us in wetsuits...down the airshaft at the bottom of the walkdown and out the third door of the upper east cavern.....then up the road to plane and back to student platforms getting shallow to offgas...91 ft ...35 min..Pretty cold.....Cold but sweet..

1st dive to plane was good, visibility ok. 2nd dive, we tried to avoid the scuba trainees and went to the north end. bad choice. alge bloom combined with the wind blowing it all in our corner created 1ft, to 3 ft. vis. from surface to depth of 65 ft. it neveer got better. don't dive here in august

First Thermacline was at 15 feet, so bring your woolies!! Visibility improved in the afternoon, with fewer divers in the water. Early was crowded with lots of open water classes, and fire department/police rescue. John and his folks have a great operation!

We love the quarry. It's our favorite fresh water dive site. Regina and John are very proffesional and very nice. we have returned over and over for further certifications.
