The W.I.L.D. ( "Whitney Independent Lake
Divers") are sponsoring a treasure Hunt that starts at 2pm. $10 entry fee
(open to all) Grand Prize $50.00 gift certificate good at The Scuba Park
at Lake Whitney.
Raffle for IST BCD and Regular set-up starting this week and drawing to be
held on Labor Day at noon. Tickets $1 or 6 for $5. $874 value. Tickets are
available The Scuba Park at Lake Whitney. BCD and Regs can be seen
at the scuba park. Everyone is welcome
at this event.

Water Conditions:
Normal visibility is 8 to 12 feet.
Surface water temperature reaches mid 70's in the summer and thermocline
temperature drops about 5 Degrees from surface at about 33 feet.
Under water sites at The Scuba Park:
At The Scuba Park there are sunken boats, dive platforms, and
more. The dive site has a large buoyed off area for diver safety and
stairs leading into the water for easy entrance. Lake Whitney has a
variety of fish including Bass, Catfish, Crappie.
Directions:
The Scuba Park at Lake Whitney is located South of Dallas and West
of Hillsboro.
From I-35 take 22 West through Whitney, turn right at Loafers Bend
just before Dam follow signs to water.

Scuba Adventurer will be arriving at The Scuba Park at Lake Whitney on
Friday evening 13-June-2003 and will be staying at The Scuba Park
campgrounds located at the dive site. The Scuba Park Camping area has
water view sites, hot showers, restroom facilities, Marina, Boat Ramp, and the convenience of
The Scuba Park Dive Shop.
The Scuba Park Dive Shop has equipment sales, repairs, rentals, air fills
and lake dive boat tours.
